About Me
Skills
My name is David Thomas and I'm currently a student studying at QUT in the bachelors of games and interactive environments course. I am majoring in software technologies and minoring in design and animation. My strengths lie in the programming and design of various pieces of technology (mostly games). I have primarily used unity and the C# language for most of my coding. I have decent knowledge of various animation, modelling and texturing programs as well including Maya and Substance Painter
Hobbies
My hobbies include research and tinkering with different games and game ideas along with pretty much anything "nerdy" such as D&D and tabletop games. I love helping people out and working on mechanically interesting and complex tasks.
Projects
MixAdventures

Standing as one of my largest undertakings, MixAdventures was a 6 person project taken as part of the final year of the bachelors of games and interactive environments degree. In conjunction with Activate Studio's, We made an immersive VR alchemy experience that let you take control of a mystifying alchemist in their enchanting workshop. The experience received great praise at the student showcase along with receiving praise for creativity and implementation by a guest panel that included members of large software based companies such as Half Brick Studios.
Metal Wolf Reaver

Similarly to the Space Drone project, this project was an assessment piece that was completed for university that I completed with flying colours. The aim of this assignment was to combine all the knowledge of AI we had learnt. It involved Understanding and manipulating behaviour trees to create realistic player behaviors.
Doxx

Serving as my first experience with developing in Unreal engine, Doxx is a sci-fi stealth based game where the player must retrieve vital information that could heavily damage corrupt mega corporations. They have 2 powers available to them to help them work their way through the dangerous facility.
